On Mother's Day, my family and I hopped in the car and made our way to Davis. There they hold a colorful event that captures the attention of people of all kinds. From tie-dyed vegans to half-dressed kids, you never know what is around the corner.

I made it my goal to try to capture anything that caught my eye. At first, it was the free-spirited children.

I have always believed that the worse pictures are the ones not taken, so I pushed myself out of my comfort zone and talked to teens and adults that stood out, even when surrounded by crowds of unique people.

When my teenage sister came out of her comfort zone and had some fun, I had to capture the moment!

I feel that even if you aren't a hippy, it is always an adventure to step out of your comfort zone! I got some got to meet some fun people, take some great pictures and even walked away with a Nutella crepe in my tummy! :)

Yesterday, I had the honor of joining my mother to a unique bridal event that involved lots of Indian culture. I have gotten a taste of the colors and flavors of India, considering I live in Yuba City and many of my friends have shared their culture with me, but seeing what is involved in their weddings was just breathtaking!

From tasting some new flavorful food to admiring the intricate details in the clothes, it was whole new world for my senses.

Not only were there exciting things that were foreign, but there were also somethings closer to home. Cascading white wedding gowns and modern table settings showed a possibility of being a part of my own future.

Even if you aren't engaged or don't plan to get married, I feel like there is just such a contagious joy with weddings. Bright, exciting colors and happy, loving people. While large groups of family getting together can create chaos, weddings make it work and make it beautiful. ♥︎
