Thomas and Kelsey are two hearts made for each other. I was so honored to be a part of their wonderful day. We were blessed with beautiful weather, even though it was in the middle of January.
Getting Ready
The morning started out with coffee and lots of pretty little details. I love seeing how the bride has paid such attention to all the details of this special day.
My personal favorite detail was the intricate lace on Kelsey’s dress.
Kelsey even had lace flats to go perfectly with her dress.
One of my favorite parts of the morning was when Kelsey read a letter that Thomas had written to her.
The First Look
Next, we went to Chico State University. I met up with the groom and instructed him which way he had to face, and told him that he could not turn around until we told him to. Then, I told the bride, who was hiding in her car, that she could head towards us. Then I was blessed to capture this beautiful moment of Thomas seeing his bride for the first time on their wedding day.
Then we let the bridal party join in the fun…
The photo above: I said, “Okay now, sorority poses!”
The photo below: “Boys, pretend you’re bridesmaids!”
After all the fun portraits, we returned to the venue to prepare for the main event.
It was so special that before the ceremony, many of the women in Kelsey’s life gathered around her in prayer.
Finally married, they finally got to start their new life together, starting with a dance.
All that dancing must have made them hungry, because next came cake time!
And they lived…
